The students have traced around their hands and forearms four times with a greyleads. Watercolour paints have been carefully applied to fill in the created overlapping shapes.

The students have ‘taken a line for a walk’ across their page. Next they have used watercolour paints in different colours to paint section of their work. Final embellishments have been added by colouring shapes with pure colour or dots.
The students have been inspired by Caspar Gasparian and his photographs of shadows and line. They have used objects from around the Art room as their subject. They have cropped and altered their photos to create interesting compositions. Grade 6 Photographs
The students have looked at the work of Pablo Picasso and have been inspired by his work. They have spent two sessions drawing their own Picasso, then used textas to highly decorate their piece with patterns.
The students have worked with clay today and have learnt how to flatten, sculpt, join and decorate. They have created adorable creatures, sleeping in a cosy bed. Today the students used Viponds paints to add colour to their ceramic creatures.
The students have been introduced to watercolour paint kits which we use frequently in the Art room. This is due to the fact that they are easy to use, have very vibrant colours and dry quickly. The Preps were given free choice of their subject matter for these pieces.
The Grade 1 students are starting Swimming today. We have discussed safety aspects of swimming and have illustrated a few important rules.
The students have flattened a piece of clay, then pressed the sole of their shoe into the soft clay, to create texture. Next they chose from a variety of shapes to press into their clay, thus cutting it out. A hole was punched through the clay to enable the piece to be turned into jewellery, once fired and decorated.
The students have been inspired by a display of Andy Warhol paintings in the corridor. They are using these Warhol piece as their basis for the 2021 Legacy Project. Today the students have isolated areas from their rough copy sketches and used these to create a template for their actual legacy section. The students have slowly but surely started to paint their individual pieces.
The students have been inspired by real castles from Europe, and have drawn their own very simple versions. They have then transformed their sketches into ceramic castles. Today the students used acrylic and Viponds paints to add colour to their castles.
