The students divided their page in half and used blue crayon rubbings. Then they started to mix a variety of blue tones for their still life in blue acrylic painting. Their objective was to mix as many varieties of blue as they could. Today the students drew a vase and outlined this with black crayon. They used brushes and cotton tips to paint the vase, as well as the flower petals and details.
The students used thin pieces of paper or cardboard which they folded in half, thus creating four sections. They decorated each section and then drew a few lines, cutting on the lines carefully whilst being mindful not to cut through the ‘spine’. Sculptures were folded in an interesting way to become free standing.
The students followed along with a guided drawing in order to create these cool monsters. Colour will be added to the background next week to compliment the crayon colours. Today the students used paint markers to add decoration to the outside of their monsters.

The Prep students have traced around a large egg template onto A4 cartridge paper, using greylead. Next they used textas to draw lines and patterns on their egg. Pieces of scrap paper were cut and added to their texta drawings to create interest.
The students were given the task to design a colouring in sheet for the Prep students. They were only given a sheet of paper and a black texta to use. They had to remember the things that they loved as youngsters, and illustrate these. Today the Preppies chose their favourite colouring in sheet and tested out their colouring skills!
