The students started out by painting a couple of sheets of A3 paper with acrylic paint. In the following week the students chose their best painting and then used cut up Japanese Kimono screens as stencils to ‘stipple’ the paint through. The students used images of their own pets, or those they would love to have today. They used carbon paper to transfer their image, then sharpie markers over the top. Today the students used metallic paints to ‘feather’ around the outside of their animal, thus drawing attention to the animal it surrounds. Today the students used a variety of markers to add detail to their work. These included Street art markers, posca sand sharpies.
